Riots, Terrorism and Humanity

August 11, 2011

City on fire, people running for lives, thousands of policemen on streets, army being deployed, PM of the nation calling an emergency, welcome to a place that's been hit by a terrorist attack or a riot.

Title of this blog may sound a little abrupt, as to how is humanity connected to riots and terrorism? I say, it is indeed connected but the other way around, fading of humanism in a mix of nerves, skeleton and blood called human being. A sad and sorry state to hear, see and accept.

Jealousy and Anger are embedded in human nature, says a study. I second it. So unfortunate are the results of this study but very practical and true. In this fast paced, hectic and tension filled life, people have forgotten to act themselves, be nice, they just act nice.

Terrorism and Riots are different when it comes to dictionary meaning but results are virtually same - destruction, loss of lives creating bad aura all around. Both are dreaded nightmares for a common man for whom a simple life (simple job, simple living, family) is what he longs to live by.

Recent case of Mumbai terrorist attacks and London riots are perfect example of loss of humanity in the world we call ours. Resultant images are what shall not leave human memory. Reasons may be different for both acts, result the same.

Post these instances of killing of human mankind, life may not change for many people but spare a thought for whom life will never be the same. Homes, Shops, Offices burning in fire, for someone it could be his entire life's investment, for someone it could be a dream that just came to life.

Blaming the government or playing the blame game will never ever solve the problem. A little patience, a little less anger, frustration and jealousy and a smile. Most importantly, choosing a better method to convey your feelings and demands can probably if not solve, attempt to solve such instances.

Will end with a note that GOD left for us - killing of one innocent person is killing of entire mankind.

  2. The sad part is it is always the innocent who gets killed and the culprit even if arrested never gets hanged :(
